Helping Babies Breathe 2nd Edition

Master Trainer Course Information

April 10 & 11, 2018

The Center for Global Health at the Colorado School of Public Health and Global Health Initiatives at Centura Health are sponsoring a training session for Helping Babies Breathe 2nd Edition Master Trainers on April 10 & 11, 2017.  This training is a full two days - packed with lecture and interactive instruction with continental breakfast and lunch provided.

Helping Babies Breathe 2nd Edition features a number of important updates and improvements.  It includes scientific updates that harmonize with 2015 ILCOR Consensus on Science with Treatment Recommendations, and 2012 WHO Guidelines on Basic Newborn Resuscitation. It also contains strengthened educational advice and new guidance on program implementation and quality improvement.
Join us and Susan Niermeyer, MD, FAAP, an architect of the Helping Babies Breathe 2nd Edition program and a designer (along with the American Academy of Pediatrics), of Essential Care for Every Baby and Essential Care for Small Babies.

What to do prior to the course?

Participants are expected to bring their NeoNatalie set and printed materials to the course.   Don't have one? 

You may order as follows:

  • NeoNatalie Light
  • NeoNatalie Dark
  • HBB Facilitator set


    If you already have a NeoNatalie set with printed materials and they do not contain the updates, don't worry.  Simply go to and download the Second Edition materials. 

    They are downloadable at no cost to you.  You will need to register on the website, so AAP has their user statistics.



    The Center for Global Health has negotiated a special nightly rate of $126 at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Denver at Anschutz Medical Campus. This rate includes a free continental breakfast each morning.
