The Health Kids Colorado Survey is conducted by the University of Colorado Denver and collects youth health and risk-related data around the state from a random sample of middle school and high school students in Fall of odd years.

Bill Betts

​Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics, University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine

Dr. Betts leads evaluations of programs funded by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. He earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from DePaul University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Program Evaluation and Administration at the University of Colorado. He has more than 20 years of experience developing and evaluating community based services, ranging from small, single-site projects to large, multi-state managed care companies. He has expertise in the development of highly effective collaborative groups and currently serves as a consultant on several collaboration projects. He is Associate Director for Mental Health at the Kempe Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect, and Co-Director of the Program for Systems Improvement.  Dr. Betts currently serves on the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing’s Children's Services Steering Committee and is a past president of the Colorado Psychological Association.
