The Health Kids Colorado Survey is conducted by the University of Colorado Denver and collects youth health and risk-related data around the state from a random sample of middle school and high school students in Fall of odd years.


Stephanie Heit, MPH

Manager - Healthy Kids Colorado Survey 2013

​Ms. Heit manages the Healthy Kids of Colorado Survey. She has worked in child health research at the University of Colorado Denver since 2010. She graduated with a Master of Public Health from the Colorado School of Public Health in Community and Behavioral Health Sciences with a focus on youth health and risk behaviors, substance abuse, and harm reduction. Prior to the CSPH, she graduated from UC Denver with a BA, double majoring in Public Health and Sociology with a minor in Demography. She is a part of the Aurora HIV/STI Stakeholders Group and serves on the Mental Health work group.  She grew up moving back and forth between California and Australia but considers Colorado home. She considers herself a “travel junkie,” intends to see all seven continents in her lifetime, and is currently planning a trip to her final continent, Antarctica.
