One of our priorities in CLAS is to enhance diversity across the college and foster a culture of inclusion. Our strategic plan details a variety of goals related to this priority:
- We seek to recruit, train, and retain faculty, staff, and students who contribute to a college that welcomes and includes differences.
- We strive to sustain an educational setting and workplace where all persons feel valued and respected.
- We aim to provide a rich tapestry of formal and informal teaching and learning opportunities to understand and educate about differences.
In the interest of furthering these aims, the CLAS Council on Diversity and Inclusion works to establish policies, procedures, and programs that strengthen our diverse community and create an environment that makes the most of the unique contributions and differences of all members of CLAS.
Students and faculty interested in helping CLAS pursue its mission to enhance diversity across the college and foster a culture of inclusion are invited to contact Marjorie Levine-Clark, Associate Dean for Planning, Initiatives, and Diversity at firstname.lastname@example.org.
