Advising for New CLAS Transfer Students
Initial Advising for New Transfer Students
Welcome to CU Denver and to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS)! We want to make sure you’re fully prepared to register for and successfully begin your initial set of classes.
If you are an incoming transfer student for the Fall 2017 semester, there are two initial advsing steps listed below that you’ll need to complete in order to
register for your first semester of classes:
Complete the online advising module below
Complete the survey at the end of the module to register for a Transfer Advising Group Session (TAGS)
The module will prepare
you for TAGS by reviewing general degree requirements, the advising structure
in CLAS, the registration system, and other steps to be completed before
starting at CU-Denver. Once you’ve completed the online module,
you’ll be directed to a survey where you can register for your initial advising (TAGS) session. Completion of this survey will prompt the review of your transfer coursework and update of your degree audit, which will be provided to you by an academic advisor at TAGS. Upon attendance to TAGS, you will be assigned to a designated CLAS academic advisor and your college advising hold will be lifted so that you can proceed with course registration.
