Schedule an appointment with a CLAS advisor to determine your projected graduation.  Currently, the Degree Audit Report (DARs) in the Access Portal is in Beta stage and should not be consulted.

You may not need to take a foreign language, but you are required to attain a certain level of language proficiency for graduation. This level can be met by one of the following ways:

1. two semesters of college-level foreign language with a minimum grade of C-
2. two or more years of one language in high school and earned a minimum grade of C- in your second year
3. attaining a certain score

Yes, but you must receive permission from the instructor to take those classes. If you are considering graduate school, then you will need to check with your graduate program about any restrictions or policies that govern the number of graduate credits you can take as an undergraduate and still apply towards a graduate degree.

Minors are not required in CLAS. However, many students choose to complete a minor to supplement their major.

Meet with your academic advisor to review the graduation procedures (i.e., completing an online intent-to-graduate form and CLAS graduation application). You should meet with your faculty advisor before you meet with your academic advisor to make sure you have completed all your major requirements.

Graduation ceremonies are held at the end of Spring and Fall terms. Summer graduates are invited to participate in the Fall commencement ceremony in December. For more information please check their website.

Diplomas do not begin mailing out for up to 2 months AFTER commencement. Please contact the Records Office with any concerns about receiving your diploma.

Your diploma will include only your degree information (Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science) and your major. Your option, minor, certificates are not noted on the diploma itself. Your transcript will reflect all of that information.

No. Your graduation applications will not be processed until the semester you will be finished.

• Graduation ceremonies are held twice a year: May (after spring) and December (after fall).
• Graduation is certified three times a year: May, August (after summer) and December. August graduates are invited to participate in the December ceremony .
