Ancillary Courses
EnvS Option students must take either a general Biology sequence or a general Chemistry sequence to develop their science disciplinary skills.
BIOL 2051 & 2071 (four credit hours) followed by BIOL 2061 & 2081 (four credit hours) or CHEM 2031 & 2038 (four credit hours) followed by CHEM 2061 & 2068 (five credit hours)

A. Environmental Science

B. Upper Division Environmental-Oriented Biology or Chemistry 

One upper division chemistry or biology course related to the student's environmental science interest must be taken as part of the environmental science option.

C. Quantitative Methods
One introductory statistics course must be taken as part of the
environmental science option. Suitable courses include  GEOG 4770, ANTH 4050, MATH 2830, PHYS 2090 and SOCY 3121.

D. Geo-spatial Analysis (one course from each of the following two groups):
GEOG 4060, Remote Sensing I: Introduction to Environmental Remote Sensing
GEOG 4070, Remote Sensing II: Advanced Remote Sensing
GEOG 4081, Cartography and Computer Mapping
GEOG 4085, GIS Applications for the Urban Environment

Notes: Admission to the MS in ES program requires one semester of physics (with lab) and one semester of calculus.
