Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences

Welcome!

If the attraction of a liberal arts education is the opportunity to inquire deeply about the human condition, geography and environmental sciences should be of interest. Geographers attempt to identify the factors affecting the distribution of people and their activities on the surface of the earth and to provide meaningful solutions to problems faced by societies. It's an ideal major for those who want to explore concepts and techniques utilized in investigating environmental issues, socioeconomic challenges, and planning policies.

For undergraduates, we offer:

For graduate students, we offer:

  • An MS in Environmental sciences with specialization options in air quality, environmental health, ecosystems, sustainability, water quality, geo-spatial analysis and environmental science education
  • Certificates for those not in the program in the specialization options.
