Students seeking secondary English teacher licensure may pursue a BA in English with a restricted literature option. This enables them to complete their English major as well as fulfill requirements for Secondary English Teacher licensure at the undergraduate level.
You will complete a your English major and then complete the School of Education's Initial Professional Teacher Education requirements. The process requires that you work with your advisors through the process. The requirements can be completed within the time-frame of a typical undergraduate degree—but ONLY if you plan early in your degree process.
