JKD & Company Public Relations Internship

Opportunity: JKD & Company has been in business for 25+ years providing a variety of services to a diverse clientele base.  The internship offers the opportunity to learn about public relations, media relations, community relations and special events planning.  Interns will write news releases, newsletter articles, media pitches and various assignments.  Interns work directly with owner, Jane Dvorak, APR, Fellow PRSA in a relaxed environment.

​Qualifications: Sophomore or higher student in public relations, communications or related field. 

Salary: Internship is paid; hours are flexible.  
Summer semester internship (May-Aug) with start date to be mutually determined.

Worldwide Partners, Inc.

Worldwide Partners, Inc. (WPI) is seeking a qualified Junior or Senior college student who is seeking an internship in Advertising, PR, or Marketing Communications. WPI is the largest global network of independent advertising agencies, and is based in Denver, CO. The internship will give you the opportunity to learn about independent ad agencies, global business, and advertising, and marketing communications in a laid-back and interactive atmosphere. You will analyze current and potential communications platforms and channels, marketing programs for Worldwide Partners and provide and implement recommendations under supervision from colleagues. You will work on a global communications team project and help enhance social media presence. This internship will allow you to apply the knowledge from your classes in a real world environment. You will have the opportunity to learn how advertising agencies differ and work together around the globe.

The internship will last for 12-weeks, 10 hours per week, and pays $1,000 for the semester. Course credit can also be accommodated. Deadline to Apply: December 19, 2013.

Wheelhouse Events

Wheelhouse Events is a Marketing and Event Planning company based in Golden, CO. They put on a national women's mud run series called LoziLu. Currently, they are looking to fill two Event Marketing & Customer Experience Internship openings for our 2014 series. The internship begins in late January and runs through the duration of the 2014 Spring Semester, with the opportunity to stay on through the summer months.

Denver Art Museum

The public relations team at the Denver Art Museum is looking for a dynamic, upbeat intern who wants to learn the ropes of the public relations field. The intern will work as part of a team but also will be asked to work independently to complete tasks. The intern joins a crew whose output includes advertising, marketing, public relations, public affairs/government relations, graphic design and community relations.

This state government agency oversees Medicaid, CHP+, and other related public health care plans for Colorado. This Internship Program is designed to give students with various levels of education the ability to experience working for state government.  All of the internships for the Finance Office are paid positions, and many of our interns will have an opportunity to continue with permanent employment.​

The comprehensive program sponsored by The Fund for American Studies includes a guaranteed journalism or communications internship placement, courses for transferable credit, and furnished housing in downtown Washington.

Students can earn up to 9 credits from George Mason University and are guaranteed an internship with a media outlet or communications firm. You are encouraged to apply for the early application deadline of December 9 to receive priority scholarship consideration and a 5% tuition discount.​
