Areas of Expertise: ​Multimedia Authoring: creating digital presentations that include all forms of communication including sound, the written word, interactivity, animation, and video, that can be presented on a  computer via CD, DVD, internet, jump drives, for both PC and Mac platforms.

Bio

David Ackerman has taught for the Department of Communication for many year; teaching Multimedia Authoring and Fundamentals of Public speaking.  He has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, a Bachelor’s degree in Music, a Master’s degree in Fine Arts, and a Doctoral degree in Music Composition and Computer Multimedia. 

Dr. Ackerman is married to his wife Rita and has one daughter who lives in Maplewood, NJ.  Originally born and raised in Oregon, David loves Colorado and visits the mountains often on the weekends.  He is a member of a jazz trio that performs from time to time at various functions, and enjoys a solo piano job occasionally.  His 1st Symphony was performed by the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra of Golden and he was a summer “Pops” conductor for the JSO for 19 years.​
