I teach courses on Chinese politics, human rights, international relations, and sustainable development. l have pursued research on early Chinese industrialization, modern Chinese political and economic development, and human rights. I am currently researching China's foreign exchange reserves and sovereign wealth funds. I have taught and lived in China. I co-lead a two-week study trip to China every year called Window on China.
I have published articles on various Chinese financial sector reforms, such as Chinese banking, the securities market, the insurance industry, and the bond market. Most recently I have been doing research on Chinese sovereign wealth funds and I will have a forthcoming article.
