Alyssa’s research interest is in second language acquisition and classroom second language acquisition. She examines ways of facilitating the second language learning of adult learners, and is interested in individual differences as well as the roles of instruction, feedback, awareness, task-based language instruction, and learner readiness. Her current research focuses on the role of awareness in the acquisition of both differential object marking and gender agreement in Spanish.
