Advanced Institute for Teachers, Writers, and/or Community Members
We are excited about a new design for our Advanced Institute this summer. We will meet at the Auraria Campus on four Wednesdays, from 9am to 1pm. Each meeting will feature a guest speaker, and time to share writing with colleagues over lunch.
June 12 – Workshop by Slam Nuba poet Jovan Mays - $25.00
June 19 – Publication Workshop by Andrea Dupree co-founder of the Lighthouse Writers Workshop - $25.00
June 26 – Essay Workshop by Shari Caudron of 5280 Magazine, Lighthouse Writers Workshop, and The Narrative Group - $25.00
July 3 – Independence Writing Marathon - $10.00 for adults. Kids may attend free with parent or guardian.
Participants can attend one or more of the sessions in a la carte fashion. Certificates will be provided upon request for teachers who need proof of professional development hours.
