Each summer, the Denver Writing Project offers a week-long Advanced Institute for educators to develop their own writing and work on becoming better teachers of writing.
Teachers from all disciplines and all grade levels are welcome to join us for a week committed to ourselves and each other as we continue to develop as teacher/writers.
During the week we’ll write, study effective practices in the teaching of writing and attend short seminars offered by professional writers from our area.
Richard Froude, MFA, PhD, will be one of our featured guest speakers this year. He'll be presenting a workshop on writing nonfiction using non-traditional forms.
The cost for the week-long institute is $50. DWP will provide a certificate for completion of 30 hours of professional development. You have the option to enroll for 3 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for an additional cost of $100.
If you have questions or would like more information about the Advanced Institute, contact Richard Argys at firstname.lastname@example.org or (303) 618-5926.
