The University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus IT Services department is now offering remote computing services to Faculty and Staff at the University. This service will provide hosted desktop computing systems for any subscribers at the university.
There are many advantages to using the remote computing systems. The systems are centrally managed, resulting in much less administrative overhead for departments on campus. These systems have most of the same capabilities as physical desktop systems. If used as an alternative to traditional desktop systems, a significant savings in power consumption (over 90%) will be realized.
