Urban, interdisciplinary, transformational, inventive – The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) is the University of Colorado Denver's largest school on the downtown Denver campus. We provide students a wide range of degrees options at all levels, including:
- 23 baccalaureate degrees, with many opportunities for students design individualized areas of emphasis
- 17 master's degrees, with specialized concentrations in most disciplines
- 4 Ph.D. programs in Applied Mathematics, Clinical Health Psychology, Health and Behavioral Sciences, and Systems Biology
The College also offers dozens of certificates, undergraduate minors, and interdisciplinary programs which students can use to their educations.
A liberal arts and sciences education provides students with the tools to meet the challenges of unscripted, real-world problems. Our excellent teachers work with students to develop broad foundational knowledge and skills such as creative problem solving, oral and written communication, quantitative literacy, intercultural competence, and ethical reasoning. Discipline-specific and interdisciplinary majors train students in the content, traditions, and methods of their chosen scholarly fields.
