The Workstation Support Center (WSC) maintains and supports the campus-standard computers and software that the faculty and staff at the university use on a daily basis. WSC is available to go onsite for Windows and Macintosh desktop and notebook computer issues. We are available at both the Anschutz Medical Campus and the Denver Campus.
At the Anschutz Medical Campus, we are an auxiliary and operate on a fee-for-service basis (time and materials) both on and off campus.
At the Denver Campus and for Denver Campus-assigned faculty and staff, we do not have a labor charge for on-campus service at this time. We do still charge for materials. Off-campus service, however, we operate on a fee-for-service basis (time and materials).
WARRANTY WORK
Although we have Dell-certified and Apple-certified technicians, we do not get paid by those companies to perform warranty support. We have to charge our normal rates for time and materials. (See Rates tab) There is usually no charge for parts covered by the warranty. The Dell agreement we are under allows us to work on the hardware as well as the software. However, the Apple agreement we are under allows us to work only on the software.
To schedule a technician to assist with computer issues please call the Help Desk at 303-724-4357. You may be asked to provide a ‘Speed Type’ (account number) for payment.
