This allows students to continue their education while working full-time, anywhere in the world. The program's educational offerings provide business acumen paired with a future-proof global perspective of the energy industry that spans all sectors. GEM prepares students to advance in their current field or to shift into a new role or sector.
Faculty members average 15 years in the industry, energy practitioners with extensive experience across a number of sectors. Students are taught by experts who understand where the trends in energy are headed. The program model connects business, leadership, and industry expertise.
Learning Outcomes
Students will sharpen their general business acumen, demonstrating cross-functional business acumen sufficient to enable effective market and situation analysis, problem-solving, decision-making, and resource allocation to achieve expected results at both business unit (tactical) and enterprise (strategic) levels. Expect mastery in topics like financial management, energy economics, problem-solving, and negotiation.
Students will also hold the ability to lead and manage geographically and culturally diverse people and organizations at both business unit (tactical) and enterprise (strategic) levels. Students will be proficient in business management, organizational leadership, collaborative learning, and strategy.
Through insight gained from experienced faculty and pertinent coursework, students will hold a comprehensive understanding of the worldwide energy marketplace and the information, methods, and strategies used by strategic decision-makers in the energy industry. Students will gain integral knowledge such as general and sector-specific industry expertise, energy stakeholder management, and international/intercultural effectiveness.
