Faculty Development

The Academy of Medical Educators works closely with the Office of Faculty Affairs to provide all members of the campus community with a comprehensive faculty development program designed to train interested individuals in teaching skills, mentoring, curriculum development, programmatic evaluation and leadership. Current faculty development offerings include: ​

 Workshops - Details & Registration

These workshops can stand alone or be taken in sequence/ concurrently to create an individualized program of faculty development in education.

Registration is FREE and open to anyone with interest. ​​​1

 Self-Directed Learning - Online Module Details & Registration

Several online modules​ are available on Crowd Wisdom for faculty, fellows, residents and students. These modules provide interested individuals with a foundational knowledge in core teaching principles.

Videos of the ongoing workshop series are available for interested individuals who were unable to attend but have an interest in one or more of the workshops​​2

 Consult an Education Expert

The Academy of Medical Educators provides individualized programming for faculty of the AMC and volunteer faculty on topics such as teaching strategies, curriculum design, educational research, communication skills training, professionalism and leadership. Note that some services have a cost attached to them, but consultation is free.
