Aimee Jacoby

Physician Assistant
University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus

Aimee is in her third and final year of the Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant program at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Aimee has been busy completing her clinical rotations including on in her hometown of Gunnison, Colorado. It was in Gunnison she received her inspiration to pursue a Physician Assistant degree. She is currently completing a Family Medicine rotation in an underserved rural clinic Mountain Family Health in Glenwood Springs. This clinic primarily treats the Hispanic population. She would be interested working at that clinic after graduation. She will complete her three remaining rotations Denver Health, Internal Medicine and ER before graduating May 2011. Although Aimee has not yet found a job, she is still committed to working with a rural or underserved population. Through her clinical experiences she has had many opportunities to work with the underserved Hispanic population. These experiences have helped to sharpen her Spanish speaking skills. She has found the Hispanic population to be a very grateful and respectful group of people and would enjoy working with them in the future.

Currently Aimee is submitting employment applications to Health Profession Shortage Areas and Medically Underserved Area sites in both rural and urban underserved Colorado.
