Study Abroad

It’s no secret that I’m not a ‘traditional’ student, so I don’t want to just have a traditional college experience. I want to experience other cultures and broaden my own perspective, and that’s why I decided to study in China.”
- Betty Pearson, undergraduate student in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
It’s a great opportunity for students to expand their world view and see how other systems handle the universal problem of crime.”
- Lonnie Schaible, PhD, faculty leader of the global study program “Crime and Criminal Justice in London”

Get out of your comfort zone and experience life in a new part of the world

Every year, CU Denver students pack their bags and head to parts unknown to earn academic credits. With the support of the Office of Global Education, they study abroad through international programs that range from two weeks to two semesters.

Perhaps you have always dreamt of walking the Great Wall of China. Maybe you would like to taste the exciting culture of 21st century Berlin. Are you intrigued by life in Cuba, South Korea, Turkey or Africa? Now is your chance to learn about the world from gifted faculty who aid in your journey of discovery.

Maybe traveling abroad seems out of the realm of possibility—but at CU in the city, you should never say never. We have the scholarships and advisors to help make your travel dreams a reality.

So take on the next challenge! Learn with purpose on the road, in the air and overseas. Your hard work will pay off as you become a confident global citizen ready to find your future in the world.
