Financial Aid Resources for Medical Students

Deedee Colussy is the program manager dedicated to assisting CU Medical students. She specializes in financing medical education expenses, money management skills, loan repayment programs and debt management strategies.

  • Fall Refund: Week of 8/14/2017

Class of 2019

  • Summer Refund: Week of 6/19/2017
  • Fall Refund: Week of 8/21/2017

Class of 2018

  • Fall Refund: Week of 8/28/2017

*You have 45 days from the day that you receive your refund to make any loan reductions. Please contact Deedee for assistance.


Health Profession Loan Repayment Resources

Primary care providers working in designated health professional shortage areas can receive funding to repay qualifying educational loans. Participants must see underserved patients at an approved clinical site for the entire service obligation.

Student to Service Program

The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Student to Service Program provides up to $120,000 to medical (MD and DO) or dental (DDS or DMD) students in their final year of school in return for a commitment to provide primary health care full time for at least 3 years at an approved NHSC site in a Health Professional Shortage Area of greatest need.
