Students who have a hardware problem with their computer should contact the vendor or manufacturer of the computer.
No, it's not. The campus will never ask you in an email to re-authorize your account, nor will they ever offer to expand your mailbox, another common message. The campus also will never ask for your password in an email. The only email you will normally receive from the campus regarding your account will be the notice that it's time to reset your password in which you will be given instructions on where to go to accomplish the reset. Any other emails you receive will almost certainly be fakes (a technique known as "phishing" attempting to trick you into giving the scammers your UCD account name and password.

If you have reason to believe you may have been tricked by such a scheme, immediately call the UCD Help Desk (303.724.HELP) and report the problem so that they can take action to protect your account.
Probably not, not if you're just surfing the web and are not downloading anything or installing any software. Most likely the warning are a scam, intended to try and panic you into buying their antivirus/antispyware product. Some such sites are known to actually install spyware on your Windows systems (Macs are at present unaffected) when you run these "free" cleanup services, and then charge you for their "protection" software to remove it.
If you every have any such warnings pop up, do not respond to any suggested action. Close the message, go to the antivirus utility installed on your computer, and have it scan your system. If that utility says you have a virus, allow it to take the appropriate action. If no virus or other malware is reported, the message you received is probably a scam. Contact the School of Pharmacy IT Services office and arrange to have your system checked if you would like confirmation that your system is malware-free.

If you are a School of Pharmacy student, you will need to acquire antivirus and antispyware yourself. There are several good commercial solutions including Norton Antivirus, McAfee Antivirus, and Sophos Antivirus. Companies such as Academic Superstore offer such utilities at special pricing for students and educators.

Canvas is the learning management system used by the University of Colorado Denver. Canvas allows instructors to post course material, assignments and tests for students to access, and offers forums where students and professors can discuss course material and ask and answer questions.

Panotopo is a video capture system used by the Anschutz Medical Campus to capture lectures given in AMC classrooms and seminar rooms. Most lectures given in School of Pharmacy classes and seminars are recorded and made available to students via Canvas for review and study. Look for "Panopto Recordings" in the sidebar in your courses in Canvas.
CoursEval is a web-based system where students can provide evaluations of classes and faculty. Students will use CoursEval at the end of every semester to evaluate each course's professors.
Blackboard was the learning management system formerly used by the University of Colorado Denver. Blackboard was replaced by Canvas as of the 2013-2014 academic year.
eCollege a service formerly used by the University of Colorado Denver to deliver on-line courses. In the School of Pharmacy, eCollege was used mostly by the Nontraditional PharmD program where much of the program is delivered in an exclusively on-line format. eCollege was replaced by the Canvas learning management system as of the 2013-2014 academic year.
Scheduling a classroom in the classroom buildings, Education 1 and Education 2, requires an account in the campus room scheduling system. You can request an account by logging into this web page with your normal UCD credentials:

To schedule a conference room or seminar room in the Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Building, send an email to email@example.com with the following information:
- Meeting name and purpose
- Requested room number
- Date, start time and end time of the meeting
- Expected number of attendees
- Equipment needed (projector, telephone, etc.)
