Faculty Liaison Program

At this time, the Faculty Liaison Program is available only for students enrolled in the International-Trained PharmD (ITPD) Program.

Based on ACPE Standard 23, which states, “The college or school must provide an environment and culture that promotes professional behavior and harmonious relationships among students, faculty, administrators, preceptors, and staff,” the Distance Degrees and Programs (DDP) Office has created a Faculty Liaison Program for students enrolled in the International-Trained PharmD (ITPD) Program. The goal for the Faculty Liaison Program is to develop connections between faculty and students, to improve our learning community and encourage the student’s professional growth.

The Faculty Liaison Program will match the ITPD student with a faculty member, a faculty liaison, from the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences during the on-campus orientation session in the late summer. Liaison pairings will last while each ITPD student is completing their didactic coursework. Faculty liaisons are expected to meet with their assigned ITPD students once each semester. The DDP Office will facilitate these meetings by securing rooms during the on-campus orientation session, but the faculty liaison may reschedule and meet with their students by phone if logistics do not allow for those times. Faculty liaisons are also encouraged to be available for additional meetings as needed. Faculty members will be provided resources to support them as liaisons.

All ITPD students and faculty members are encouraged to contact the DDP Office if there are any questions about the Faculty Liaison Program at ITPD@ucdenver.edu or 303-724-3582.
