Brandon Utter, PharmD, BCPP, BCPS is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy. Dr. Utter received his PharmD from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy, followed by a PGY1 Residency program in the South Texas Veterans Health Care System, then a PGY2 residency specializing in Mental Health at the VA Western New York Healthcare System. Dr. Utter continued service in the Veterans Health System in West Palm Beach and Orlando, Florida as a mental health clinical pharmacy specialist and also served abroad as a lecturer of pharmacotherapy and psychopharmacology in Lusaka, Zambia. He now works with the State of Colorado Drug Utilization Review Program in a policy and managed care setting with Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program) members. He practices clinically with the Marcus Institute for Brain Health as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist seeing patients, many of them veterans, and evaluating safe and efficacious medication use. Dr. Utter is US Army Veteran who served as a Medic in Iraq in 2005-2006, a member of CPNP, and his interests include substance abuse, mental health and public health policy.
