Welcome Message

Welcome from the specialty coordinator

I am Diane Skiba, PhD, FACMI, ANEF, FAAN the specialty coordinator for health care informatics. Our online program has a long history in preparing the workforce for health care informatics positions. Informatics is a dynamic and rewarding field that provides the necessary infrastructure for creating new tools to support safe delivery of quality health care and is foundational to health care transformations. The informatics field promotes the use of health information technologies to serve as a foundation for a “learning health system” that include the active engagement of consumers, patients and their families in the care delivery process.
