Dr. Vande Griend is currently involved in a quality improvement project for medication management in the Seniors Clinic. His research will help providers feel confident they are only prescribing necessary medications to elderly patients.

Palliative Care Program Pioneers National Research

Dr. Jean Kutner works on a study that seeks to determine if patients with a life-limiting illness can do without statins. The study will look at statin use and also, its leaders hope, will demonstrate that national cooperation in palliative care can work, as it does in other fields.
