Baccalaureate nursing education provides entry into the nursing profession with the bachelor of science degree. Graduates are prepared for a career in a variety of practice settings as a professional nurse generalist after passing the RN licensure examination. Baccalaureate education is also the initial step toward nursing careers for which advanced level education is required.
