Vision and Mission

The University of Colorado College of Nursing Alumni Association (CONAA) will be a member-focused organization directed toward advocating for the interests of present and future alumni, and promoting the continuing excellence and success of the College of Nursing.

The primary mission of the CONAA is to serve, to inform, and to involve the diverse members of the University of Colorado College of Nursing (CON) community. The mission will be accomplished by:

  • Advancing the interests of alumni while supporting the CON goals.
  • Developing an awareness of the CON history, accomplishments, programs, and offerings.
  • Fostering a sense of pride among CON alumni.
  • Encouraging alumni to be lifelong participants in the CON community through service and leadership.
  • Providing the CON with insight into the needs and interests of the diverse constituencies it serves.
  • Developing and sustaining mutually beneficial relationships among the alumni, students, faculty and leaders.

Association Activities

Distinguished Alumni Awards

The association presents awards to distinguished alumni and faculty who have made out standing contributions to the profession of nursing through administration, research, service and/or education.

Reunion Activities

Annual reunion activities are held each spring and throughout the year as organized by each program and by individual classes. Alumni are invited back to campus for special reunion activities and tours.

Guest Lectures

Alumni Association volunteers, in cooperation with College of Nursing faculty, present lectures on a variety of topics to students at the College of Nursing.

Scholarships

The Alumni Association works to raise funds for student scholarships through membership campaigns.
