Ms. Fernandez is an Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics.  She graduated from the CHA/PA Program in 2005 and joined the faculty in 2016 after working clinically for eleven years in underserved family and pediatric medicine.  She received her international board certification as a lactation consultant in 2014.  She teaches in small group courses as well as lectures on adult, adolescent and pediatric medicine topics.  Her clinical interests include integrating breastfeeding medicine into the CHA/PA curriculum, adolescent medicine and underserved populations.  She serves on the Urban Underserved Advisory Team.
