Mrs. Fernandez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics.  She graduated from the CHA/PA Program in 2005 and joined the faculty in 2016 after working clinically for eleven years in underserved family and pediatric medicine.  She is the CHA/PA Clinical Course Director and the faculty liaison for the Pediatric Critical & Acute Care Longitudinal Experience (PCACLE) and the Urban Underserved Track (UUT). 

She lectures on adult, adolescent and pediatric medicine topics throughout the curriculum.  Her clinical interests include general pediatrics and lactation management, adolescent medicine and underserved populations.  Her research and scholarship interests include clinical education, self-directed learning and pediatrics.
