Ms. Fernandez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics. She graduated from the CHA/PA Program in 2005 and joined the faculty in 2016 after working clinically for eleven years in underserved family and pediatric medicine. She received her international board certification as a lactation consultant in 2014. She facilitates small group discussions, leads 1st Year students through the Clinical Reasoning series, and lectures on adult, adolescent and pediatric medicine topics throughout the curriculum. Her clinical interests include general pediatrics and lactation management, adolescent medicine and underserved populations. She serves on the Urban Underserved Advisory Team.
