Title

Improving outcomes of critically ill patients with alcohol use disorders

Project Description

My research focuses on improving the care of patients with an alcohol use disorder.  The main focus of my work is on the transition of care for ICU survivors with alcohol use disorders.  We seek to understand the barriers to entering alcohol treatment in this population and how best to optimize the motivation to change as ICU survivors with an alcohol use disorder leave the hospital.    Other projects focus on the initial evaluation and treatment of patients with an alcohol use disorder.
