Role of Nuclear Receptors in Obesity and Diabetic Complications

Project Description

Our projects examine the role of nuclear receptors, transcriptional factors, and G protein coupled receptors in regulation of end organ complications in obesity, diabetes, and aging. We examine several cellular processes that contribute to disease in the kidney, liver, and cardiovascular system including regulation of lipid metabolism, inflammation, oxidative stress, and fibrosis.
