Learning from the evaluation of the PI effort
Re-evaluate and reflect on performance in practice (Stage B), by comparing to the assessment done in Stage A. Summarize any practice, process, and/or outcome changes that resulted from conducting this PI activity.
If Level 1 deficiencies were identified and an intervention plan is developed and submitted to COPIC, a re-evaluation of your practice is conducted in two years.
After completion of Stage C (re-evaluation of practice), you are eligible for 5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Complete and submit the forms for Stage C

The Physician’s Recognition Award and credit system approves AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for performance improvement (PI) activities
“Performance improvement (PI) activities describe structured, long-term processes by which a physician or group of physicians can learn about specific performance measures, retrospectively assess their practice, apply these measures prospectively over a useful interval, and re-evaluate their performance.”
