Pregnancy

Pregnancy is an exciting time in a woman’s life. A new addition to your family can evoke feelings of both happiness and nervousness. From pre-pregnancy planning to childbirth, you will experience countless emotional and physical changes.

Before You Get Pregnant

If you are planning to become pregnant soon, be sure to schedule a preconception appointment. Our doctors will provide information about what you can do to enhance your chances of delivering a healthy and happy baby.

Having a healthy body before you are pregnant can contribute to a more positive pregnancy experience. Regular exercise, a well-balanced diet and avoiding harmful substances, such as tobacco and alcohol, can help reduce risks to you and your baby during pregnancy.

During Your Pregnancy

As a mom, you want to provide the healthiest environment possible for your developing baby.
There are ways to help to reduce your risk for complications and to ensure the health of you and your new little one.

Steps you can take toward a healthy pregnancy include:

    • Avoid harmful substance (such as tobacco and alcohol)

    • Avoid potentially dangerous activities or situations (such as climbing ladders)

    • Eat a well-balanced diet

    • Exercise regularly
