Current Practice Survey
The STOP CAUTI Current Practice Survey is designed to identify the CAUTI prevention practices at NICHE hospitals with a focus on nursing care interventions including: equipment; insertion and maintenance techniques; training, education, and policies; documentation, surveillance, and reminders. The survey was based on a review of the CDC's evidence-based guideline published in 2009. The STOP CAUTI Current Practice Survey was opened to all NICHE hospitals to provide a benchmark for evidence-based practice. To date, 75 NICHE acute care hospitals and have taken the survey. The results can be found at NICHE Practice_Survey Summary PowerPoint.
The study results for the subset of STOP CAUTI Workgroup sites were presented at the NICHE meeting in April 2010. The results can be found in our STOP CAUTI Library. (Password protected for Workgroup members).
