The University of Colorado Program to Advance Spondyloarthritis Treatment (U.C.PAST)

A clinical & research program for spondyloarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis & related inflammatory conditions

U.C.PAST--the University of Colorado Program to Advance Spondyloarthritis Treatment  is a new program that brings together the experts in spondyloarthritis from the Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the University of Colorado Hospital—two of the medical centers in the University of Colorado system.

This program, led by Director Liron Caplan, MD PhD and Associate Director Kristi Kuhn, MD PhD, combines the strengths of the leading medical facilities in the region to address the medical needs of persons and families interested in spondyloarthritis while using research to tackle some of the very important questions around spondyloarthritis. Doctors Caplan and Kuhn hope to provide patients with spondyloarthritis with the best cutting-edge medical care while also learning why people develop spondyloarthritis, how we can diagnose spondyloarthritis earlier and simpler, and which therapies are the best for patients with spondyloarthritis.

As part of this effort, U.C.PAST will be publishing Spondy News.  We hope this bulletin will inform patients and their loved ones and friends about what is going on in the world of spondyloarthritis, both locally and around the world.
