Leslie received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her Master’s degree from Denver University. Before joining the Hirsch laboratory, where her current focus is on RNA extraction and quantitative real-time PCR, Leslie worked as a Professional Research Assistant and completed her Master’s thesis studying regulation of neuroplasticity at Denver University. While at MIT, Leslie’s focus was on protein folding and Alzheimer’s disease in the laboratory of Vernon Ingram. A native of Colorado, Leslie enjoys painting, reading and spending time with animals.
