I am the Medical Student Education Program Coordinator for the Department of Family Medicine. I take pride in assisting Family Medicine students from their first year of medical school all the way through graduation in one way or another. Whether it’s assisting with a Rural and Community Clerkship for a student in their third year, arranging for a Summer Immersion Elective or Mentored Scholarly Activity between the first and third years, proctoring exams or entering grades, I keep things moving forward. I am the liaison between the DFM, preceptors, mentors and the students and handle all things administrative for the pre-doctoral students.
I have always had an interest in education and worked in the home respiratory field in my younger years. Once I became involved with the Colorado AHEC Program while on the Western Slope, many options and opportunities presented themselves, including my current position. Having been the Regional Liaison while on the Western Slope of Colorado, I am proud to be such an integral part of the Department of Family Medicine! It has been a true learning and growth experience and I immensely enjoy the immediate student interaction.
Please feel free to drop by my office, send an email or give me a call. I’m here to help you!
