The Hospital Research Review Committee

Submitting to the HRRC


 

​The Hospital Research Review Committee, or HRRC, provides oversight for any research study using UCH facilities or accesses UCH medical records. This means that exempt, retrospective chart reviews must be submitted to the HRRC.

Under Recruitment - Administrator of Research

Susie Mercer - Research Coordinator

Kim Dimmitt - Administrative Assistant

 

The HRRC requires that retrospective chart reviews be approved through their application and review process. One copy of each of the following documents must be submitted:

  • HRRC Application
  • Final Protocol - if applicable
  • COMIRB application - InfoEd applications do not require signature
  • COMIRB Certificate of Exemption - or your letter of approval for Expedited studies
  • HIPAA Authorization - either Form B, A, or a certificate of HIPAA waiver
  • Budget - if the study is unfunded, include a statement indicating that there is no budget
  • Data Request Form

 

Completed applications can be sent to Kim Dimmit at campus box F417 or dropped off on the 10th floor of Leprino. All forms can be accessed on the next tab.

If your prospective clinical trial is being carried out at University of Colorado Hospital, you will need to submit the following documents to the HRRC for review:

 
  • HRRC application
  • Protocol
  • COMIRB application
  • COMIRB approval letter
  • Informed Consent Form
  • HIPPA Authorization B, and A (if applicable)
  • Study Budget
  • Clinical Trial Agreement with Statement of Work and Letter of Indemnification
