Postnatal Testing

Please Note:
FMR1 continues to be state of the art testing for individuals with physical or behavioral signs and symptoms of fragile X syndrome, and/or a family history of fragile X syndrome or mental retardation of unknown cause.

FMR1 testing is no longer available through the Colorado Genetics Laboratory (CGL) as part of a Fragile X Panel.

You can still have cytogenetic and/or microarray analysis performed at CGL, and FMR1 testing at the lab of your choice, including the Molecular Genetics Laboratory at Children's Hospital Colorado (303-777-0500).
