Awesome city! The energy of the campus and the synergy between the clinical and the basic research faculty in the program was a big draw.

What lab you joined and why:
I joined the Nemenoff lab because of their balance between in vitro and in vivo approaches to lung cancer research.
Short description of your project:
I am exploring the role of cPLA2 in the tumor microenvironment in lung cancer and how it contributes to tumor progression and metastasis.
Where you attended undergraduate and what your major / minor(s) were:
Gettysburg College
BS, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (2007).
What you did (if anything) between undergraduate and graduate school:
I graduated early so I moved to Vail to be a snowboard instructor at Beaver Creek for the season and then came 'straight' to grad school.

What you like to do outside of school:
I love to surf, snowboard, teach snowboarding, brew beer, go to beer festivals, camping, hiking, world traveling, listening / making music, concerts, Broncos / Rockies / Nuggets games.
