Dr. Taravella specializes in the treatment of cornea disorders, cataract and refractive surgery/vision correction. He has been on the faculty for 21 years. The Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute and the University of Colorado Hospital features state of the art equipment for laser vision correction and cataract surgery.
EYE CONDITIONS:
Cornea disorders such as Keratoconus and Fuch’s Cornea dystrophy, Cataract, and refractive error such as myopia and astigmatism.
EYE TREATMENTS:
Cornea Transplant, Keratoprosthesis, Cataract surgery with a variety of implants such as presbyopic correcting, astigmatism correcting and monofocal lenses; Lasik and Laser Vision Correction. Phakic Intraocular Lenses.
CLINICAL TRIALS:
Helping to Develop a Surgical Simulator for cataract surgery.
