The Center for Women’s Health Research (CWHR) currently has over 65 faculty researchers engaged in women’s health research in the areas of cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

CWHR faculty are funded based on writing a strong scientific project as well as showing promise in their career trajectories. In addition, their work or research must be related to the study of the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease and/or metabolic diseases in women. All faculty at this level must have a primary mentor and a good mentorship plan.

Since the inception of the Center for Women's Health Research in 2004, over $1 million has been awarded to faculty in the form of research grants. This same group of researchers, mentored by the CWHR Faculty Leadership, has gone on to receive nearly $40 million in external grant funding.
