School of Medicine Proposed Branch Campus

In 2010, a group of Colorado Springs economic development supporters “Operation 6035”, met with Dean Richard Krugman to initiate the feasibility study of opening a Colorado Springs branch campus of the School of Medicine.

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) has agreed to partner with the School of Medicine to provide student services.

Funding for the campus would not come from state dollars. Instead, a fundraising campaign would be led by the CU Foundation and Colorado Springs supporters.

The El Paso County Medical Society (EPCMS) will be working with the School of Medicine on efforts to recruit community physicians via their Medical & Student Task Force.

Please contact us if you are interested in working with students as a faculty preceptor or block director; learning more about the Colorado Springs branch campus feasibility study; or are interested in providing feedback.
