As a QI veteran, Dr. Steven Johnson, Medical Director of the HIV/AIDS program at UCHA, understands the challenges clinical care departments face when embarking on quality improvement (QI) initiatives.
Located on the Anschutz Medical Campus, the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center provides adult and pediatric care to patients with bleeding and clotting disorders. Dr. Michael Wang aims to create a healthcare delivery improvement program in collaboration with other HTCs to reduce variability and cost while demonstrating improved clinical outcomes.
Dr. Cecilia Low Wang, Director, is on a mission to help inpatient clinical departments improve outcomes through better blood sugar management. Currently the team is working on an initiative to decrease hypoglycemia.
