It is exciting when ideas that are hatched in the lab turn into products. Researchers at the School of Dental Medicine get to experience this and the rewarding feeling of advancing the field of dentistry. The School’s collaborative research programs are at the forefront of science and attract significant National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research funding. In 2009, our institution ranked 12th in funded research from The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR). Additionally, our research brings us into partnership with a number of other institutions including the School of Medicine, the University of Colorado Cancer Center and the Children’s Hospital.
