Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship: Events

We foster an open and diverse environment that emphasizes multidisciplinary experiential learning. Our relationships with business leaders and successful entrepreneurs further expand opportunities for students to research, assess, and execute ideas whether for a new business or to revitalize mature organizations in response to a perceived opportunity. 

Our major events are the following

Business Plan Competition

Every Spring we hold the Jake Jabs Center Business Plan Competition which is one of the foremost events for early stage companies in Colorado. We to promote the development of high-caliber business plans, recognize the most outstanding plans with more than $50,000 in cash and in-kind awards from area businesses, and encourage the creation of new businesses.

Coffee with Lewan

Lloyd Lewan is a unique individual, an academic and an entrepreneur. He has traveled the world many times, met world leaders, led students, taught university classes, helped lead a successful business and gives of himself to many causes in our communities. 

Best of Colorado Speaker Series

Colorado is the home of many inspiring entrepreneurs and growing startups looking to become next big company. The Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship wants to recognize some of the Colorado’s own biggest names in business with a new speaker series dedicated to the "Best of Colorado."
