South Denver Certificates

South Denver For Credit Certificates 

Certificates can be completed in six months. Courses are eight weeks each. These courses are for credit and are fully transferable should you decide to pursue an MBA or MS degree.

General Business Certificate

The Business Certificate program at CU Denver is designed to give you a focused business background and update your skill-set quickly. You’ll earn college credit for each course you successfully complete and a business certificate upon completion of three courses. Financial aid may also be available.

You will take

  • Leading Individuals and Teams (BUSN 6520 section D01)
  • Analyzing and Interpreting Accounting Information (BUSN 6550 section D01)

And you will choose one elective. Available electives include:

  • Project Management  (BANA 6550 section D01)
  • Marketing Management
  • Information Systems Management and Strategy

Electives may be taught in South Denver or online.

Please note that you must take two out of the three classes at the South Denver campus in order to complete the certificate. Also, prior to the term that you will be completing your certificate, you will need to alert an academic advisor by sending them an email to grad.advising@ucdenver.edu that you will be completing your certificate.

Entrepreneurship Certificate —Spring 2015

The Jake Jabs Center’s entrepreneurship curriculum incorporates instruction, mentoring, support from outstanding faculty, and professionals with expertise in new business development. Courses explore legal issues, social sector initiatives, new venture design, finance structuring, strategic web development, leadership, new product development and business plan creation. Students learn from case studies, classroom instruction, and guest lectures featuring successful entrepreneurs and renowned business leaders.

You'll earn college credit for each course you successfully complete and an entrepreneurship certificate upon completion of these courses.
