The Business School has developed accelerated, focused short courses
in the business topics most requested by South Denver industry partners.
These are innovative non-degree courses that provide high level
business training in a one or two day format in areas such as Project
Management, Financial Modeling, and Human Resources.
Future of Leadership—Fall 2014

Examine how global growth objectives and the changing business landscape force new behaviors for leaders.
The Landscape. Explore disruptive trends effects on
how companies create and capture value. Look at the changing face of the
workforce and see how social technologies create shifts. Explore the
big data movements transformation on how people live, work and consume
products, services and information.
Essential Leadership Traits. Leadership is moving
toward customer-centricity, innovation, collective collaboration,
exponential and transformational change and social communication.
Understand how bold thinking about invention, reinvention and
transformation is used to respond to strategic product development,
customer and market shifts. Learn about the fortitude required for the
risk taking and experimentation associated with innovation and growth
into new markets.
Action Learning. Leaders must develop themselves to
respond to complex business dynamics. Through action-learning projects,
you will collaborate on team-based projects and learn to form teams
around strategic value creation, diagnose opportunities and implement
game changing solutions.
This two day course extensively leverages innovative ways of learning
– including social technologies which enhance community-based learning.
