Internships and Experiential Learning

Connecting the classroom with the boardroom

Internships and Experiential learningWhen hiring new graduates, businesses look for more than a basic knowledge of business. They want people who are ready to seize an opportunity and get to work.

The CU Denver Business School works hard to create strategic partnerships with businesses in the area–from small, Denver-based companies to the local offices of global corporations– in order to offer students high quality, experience-based learning.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students in the Business School are required to complete an experiential learning course, which can be fulfilled through an internship, study abroad trip, service learning project or project-based course.

Graduate Students

Graduate students also have the opportunity to take on an internship, either paid or for credit hours, to go toward a degree program. The Graduate Career Connections office can assist you with finding and applying for an internship geared specifically toward graduate students.

Partnering with the local community

The Business School’s strong partnership with the local community and dedication to providing students with a variety of ways to gain hands-on experience gives you an edge on the competition while also providing the opportunity to grow your network and make connections early in your career.
